Counting notes
First ask whether the platform counts characters or Han characters.
Many platforms count punctuation, spaces, Latin letters, and line breaks. Others apply their own weighting. Text provides a transparent general count, not an official limit for any platform.
“Copy cleaned” only removes trailing spaces and reduces three or more blank lines to two. It does not rewrite your wording.

Why do “characters” and “Han characters” differ?
Characters include letters, numbers, punctuation, spaces, and line breaks. Han characters count only Unicode Han script. Each answers a different limit question.
How is reading time estimated?
Text uses about 300 Han characters or 200 English words per minute, rounded up. Layout, subject matter, and the reader affect real speed.
Is pasted text saved?
No. Counting and truncation run in this browser. The page does not send your text to our server.
